ABOUT MR. WHITE
Troy White is a registered professional civil engineer. He began working within a civil engineering practice in 2000, obtained a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2002, and became registered in the State of Texas in June 2005.

Mr. White began his career as a designer and project manager in the general civil and environmental disciplines, practicing in those fields until 2012, until transitioning to Jim D. Koontz & Assoc., Inc. (JDKA), a firm specializing in roof systems design, forensic evaluation of roof system and material failures and storm damage, and laboratory testing of building construction materials. In preparation for Mr. Koontz’s retirement in December of 2022, Mr. White established KWA Engineering & Building Science, Co., Inc. (KWA) to advance Mr. Koontz’s legacy and continue to serve his firm’s clientele.

Mr. White’s primary areas of practice are roof assembly design, engineering construction administration, roof condition assessment and improvements planning and budgeting, forensic roof systems failure and storm damage evaluation, laboratory analysis of roofing materials and assemblies, appraisal and umpire work, and expert testimony.
